PESDC was established in March 1993 via a joint effort of the then Ministry of Entrepreneur & Cooperative Development, Perak State Government and manufacturing industries in the state of Perak, Malaysia.

PESDC ditubuhkan pada bulan Mac 1993 melalui usahasama Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi, Kerajaan Negeri Perak dan industri perkilangan di negeri Perak, Malaysia.

Our Vision:

To establish PESDC as the reliable skills training centre where the manufacturing industry can look toward meeting its needs whilst at the same time serving as the springboard for entrepreneurial development especially in joint-ventures between bumiputera and non-bumiputera in the industry.

Untuk menjadikan PESDC sebagai pusat latihan kemahiran yang boleh dipercayai oleh industri perkilangan supaya dapat memenuhi keperluannya dan pada masa yang sama berfungsi sebagai batu loncatan untuk pembangunan keusahawanan terutama dalam

kerjasama antara bumiputera dan bukan-bumiputera dalam industri.

Our Mission:

To provide training and dissemination of information that will assist the manufacturing industry in keeping abreast with changes in technologies, in enhancing productivity, and quality of production as well as encouraging entrepreneurial development in the industry.

Towards the above PESDC has the following objectives:

Meet the training needs of manufacturing industry in equipping their employees with skills and knowledge needed to carry out their assigned jobs effectively.
Upgrade existing technical skills and knowledge of the manufacturing industry and to keep abreast with technological advancements.
Improve the quality of work at all levels of an organization through the provision of skills and management training.
Work closely with the Perak State Government and Federal Government on the implementation of Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).
Co-ordinate and utilize resources that are available in the manufacturing industry as well as other training and development centres.
Encourage entrepreneurial ventures within the industry by training and coaching interested stakeholders in all aspects of operating such ventures.
Promote bumiputera and non-bumiputera joint ventures among entrepreneurs by providing them with the channels for networking.
Provide a one-stop centre for corporate advisory and diagnostic services for manufacturing companies who are seeking to improve their operations.
Provide a vehicle for constant exchange of experiences and ideas in the improvement of work ethics.

Latest Developments At PESDC

1. PESDC signs MOU to collaborate with University Tunku Abdul Rahman:

PESDC signed a broad-based MOU with UTAR on 22 July 2011. Read more about this here.

2. ISO Certification:

PESDC is approaching the aim of achieving full ISO certification. Efforts are being put in by staff of various department to ensure the proper documentation and processes are completed in the timeline scheduled.

3. Introduction of more training programmes:

PESDC is working on offering a string of new programmes in the Public & INSEP segments. Once the proper approvals are acquired, we will announce the list of new programmes via this channel.
